You cannot make a vehicle look newer than it actually is. Most registration marks have an 'age identifier' letter or number which dictates whether or not they can be assigned to a vehicle. We have an age checking tool on the Purchase Options page of our website, plus a search filter to grey-out any plates which are too new.

There are rules which cover the specification of number plates including their sizes, spacing, colours, materials and typefaces of the letters and numbers. You cannot alter any of these. We only sell road legal number plates

Private plates can be bought, sold and transferred between vehicles with the exception of Q-plated kit cars or non-road going vehicles. Your vehicle must be taxed and MOT'd (if applicable).

You can only buy what's available and you have to stick within the permutations released by DVLA. This is where we can help. Simply type in the registration you are looking for and our search tool will show you the closest matches on the market.
