You will receive a confirmation of your order by e-mail and first class post. When we receive your order with full payment, we will immediately arrange for the registration mark to be taken off the market and assigned into the name you have given us. This name must be the same as the keepers’ name on the V5 vehicle registration document (log book), for the transfer to be successful.
We will arrange for the DVLA certificate entitling that named person (or organisation), to be sent to the address you have requested. Depending on the workload at our offices, this will normally be sent out to you by first class post within 4 working days .
Full instructions will be found on the reverse of the certificate telling you exactly what to do next, there are no extra fees to pay to finish off this transfer (provided your vehicle is registered with the DVLA and your tax disc and MOT are valid).
This certificate is initially valid for 12 months and you can renew it through us annually.
In brief, you will need to assemble all the documents relating to the vehicle, complete some forms and either post or take these to your DVLA Local Office. If you need to re-tax your vehicle you may do this at the same time. All your documents must be originals and valid ie your MOT must be current and also your tax disc if your vehicle requires one. ...Top
