If you've found a great looking UK mainland number plate but you don't want to transfer it straight away to a car, van, motorcycle, taxi or any other vehicle - don't worry!....


....... because provided its not an Irish plate you've got 12 months initially to transfer it and this can be extended upon payment of certificate renewal fees which are quite reasonable...

 

When you've purchased a mainland private numberplate from us we'll send you the paperwork (for a DIY transfer) or, if you choose our Full Transfer Service, we'll wait for you to tell us when to transfer it, and allow you twelve months in which to begin the transfer to a vehicle at no extra charge .

Even if you still haven't got a vehicle at the end of this time, you can extend the period a further 12 months by paying a Government renewal fee of £25 and making your application to us*, provided you apply for the extension within the period of original entitlement.


You can continue this year after year and thus keep a private number plate on a certificate until your son or daughter is old enough to drive.....what a fabulous idea for a seventeenth birthday present!
