Number Plate Maker

When purchasing a new private registration plate and assigning it to a vehicle, you must get a new number plate made up to display on your vehicle. You can only get a number plate made up from a number plate maker and supplier that is registered with the DVLA. We are officially registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA RNPS supplier no: 3166) to supply number plates for vehicles registered in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

Getting new or replacement acrylic number plates made up

In order for any number plate supplier to legally make and supply you with new acrylic number plates, they must follow legal guidelines to make sure you are entitled to receive them.

By law we are required to see proof of identification of the purchaser. Acceptable forms of ID include:

Driving licence
Passport
National identity card
Bank or building society debit or credit card statement (not online)
Utility bill (water, gas, or electricity) (not online), dated within the last 6 months
Council tax bill
Landline telephone bill
Police warrant card
Armed forces identity card

We only need to see a copy; there's no need to send an original document for your ID. You will receive a postage-paid return envelope in your confirmation letter which you can use to send this to us. Your proof of ID will be sent back to you and no personal financial details will be recorded or retained. As soon as we receive proof of identity we can arrange for your plates to be dispatched by Royal Mail.
