If you want to buy a DVLA personalised registration but you haven't got a vehicle to put it on - don't worry. When you have bought the number from us we will send you the paperwork and allow you twelve months in which to put it on to a vehicle.

Even if you still haven't got one at the end of this time, you can extend the period a further 12 months by paying a DVLA renewal fee of £25 and making an application to us, provided you apply for the extension within the period of original entitlement. You can continue this year after year.*
